my beautiful girls

wow it's been a long time since I wrote in my blog. Lots has been happening lately. Siena is walking up a storm and man is she a funny girl, full of personality that one. Sanora is in a reading/craft program at the library and is loving that. Sanora reads everything. Sanora can read level 2 books now no problem and has problems with level 3. I'm always amazed at how well she does. I can't get away with spelling things out anymore, lol. Sanora shows the qualities of a great leader, some of those qualities are soo frustrating for us parents but I know they will be what makes her succeed in the future.

With me working the weekends and Bryan working so much we have yet to go camping this year, which sucks. We got out alot in the "spring" but not much yet in the "summer"! I actually picked up a second job at the local camp ground starting tomorrow, I'm excited about it.

Sienna walking/school/RIP John

Ok so I was having problems with my account again, a listening problem on my end I think. So it's been a big week and this is the scoop. On the 4rth of June Sienna (had already taken a few steps but didn't seem interested beyond that) was holding onto my pants then suddenly let go and walked to Sanora and through herself around Sanora in a hug. It was so cute. Bryan and I of course had Sienna do it over and over again and Sanora video taped it with my camera. 3 days later Sienna was walking across the room and 5 days later she can practically walk around the house and was trying to do a bit of a run...Yikes! So proud of my little sweet heart.

I went Kayaking last weekend, it was great. They where offering free lessons at Schwanga Lake, so I tried out this really fancy boat that I would never have, lol. There where dogs there so Sanora was going nuts throwing rocks and such. Oh yes I didn't mention that when we woke up Sunday morning it was duh duh duh...SNOWING!so it was a head trip to be on the middle of a beautiful lake in the middle of June, while it was snowing. I also applied for classes for the fall. I'll be taking general studies for the first year, then Renewable resources the year after. With the general studies courses I will be upgrading my English and science as well as taking some theater classes and hopefully some language classes as well. The upside with that is that it will be paid for by EI as I just came off of Maternity leave. I want to take advantage of that as much as I can.

On a sad note officer John Snyder son of Mr. Snyder who use to by my teacher passed away. Mr. Snyder was my English teacher in grade 11 and a hard one of that. John was 1 of four I believe, 3 or 4 boys I can't remember, and Graded with Gerri and I. I didn't know him that well except that he was on the Ruby team and I was on the girls team as we often practiced at the same time. It is a great loss to the place I still call home, RIP John.

Bryan's Vacation

Ok so it's been a while, sorry about that. Well Bryan took off to Vancouver and had amazing time with friends and family, concerts and shopping. I however took the opertunity to take my kids out and really have some quality time with them. We did lots of walking saw beaver dams, walked around town, Sanora got baby sat while I went to work. Oh yes and on Sunday I ran the water so we could run in the sprinklers and of course had to hang out outside for an hour afterwards. Low and behond when we finally went back inside there was a good 2 inches of water in the basement. a pipe had burst and been going everywhere for the whole time we where outside. So I called the insuarace company right away, then called Bryan, then came the towels and clean up. It was a good thing it was I and not Bryan, because he would have flipped, lol. Tis is life I say, the funny thing is Sanora ran and got her rubber boots to splash in the water. So monday morning everyone came, there has been dehumidifiers and fans everywhere, at one point I counted 11 fans. So far we have to replace the cieling and flooring in the storage, the carpet in the whole basement, the TV stand because it was particle board....mmmmm I think that's it for now hopefully. Ahh what can you do? Bryan had a really good time which is good, I am so happy to have him back!
