big life changes
So one thing that I missed the last time I wrote is that Sanora and I went to this open mic/spoken word event at a cafe down town. Sanora started getting bored so I said, "do you want to tell one of your stories", Sanora got really excited and jumped at the chance. Sanora stood up in front of a group between 30 - 50 people (most people where standing it was that packed) and Sanora got up and told 3 stories. I felt I was about to explode with pride, I thought it was amazing that a little girl got up in front of everyone. Sanora practically had a standing ovation and then later one of the performers asked everyone to give her a round of applause for the courage to get up and how proudly she presented herself. I was beaming, as you can guess. I am also very gratefully for Whitehorse as to give Sanora the opportunity to feed her determination and passion for expression.
So some big changes in our life. I am only working Security 2 days aweek as everyone has taken there vacation. So job hunting time again, fly by the seat of my pants I applied at the cafe that had the spoken word event for the store front manager. I exchanged e-mails back and forth with the owner and he wanted me in for an interview the next day. When I went I got the job on the spot, 40 hours a week and flexible hours. Wages are amazing and made so people want to stay. Soooooo I told Bryan, Bryan talked to his boss and long story short... drum role please....... Bryan is going to quit his job and do only contract work. Bryan already has a munch of regular clients and that is without even advertising. I'm gonna work both jobs up until I got to Africa and then I will quit the security job. yaaaa I'm so excited!
