Resentment

Since Sienna has been born Sanora is very loving towards Sienna but it is me that she's resentful towards. We had a bit of an insedent in superstore yesterday and if that wasn't a message that something was up I don't know what is. I have been hard on her so that might be it aswell. Her attitude has gone up like 10 notches and I'm not so convinsed that it will iron itself out on it's own. Any suggestions?

Smarty Pants!

Any chance I get I try and teach Sanora new words. I notice that when I take words out of context she's not interested, so I have just tried to fit word learning in when she asks about things and when she's writing already. So last night I went over A-M with her, I can't remember what she was asking about. This morning I wrote "I am a cat!" on a piece of paper and asked her to read it to me.....and she did. She read her first sentence, I am so proud of her. Then she went even farther and wrote herself "I am a dog" by herself, so not only did she read her own sentence but she wrote it to.

New house

Well we got a house. We low balled them with our offer and we went through a bit of a bargaining process and got the house at a good deal. The inspection went well and everything is in order, it's just the final paperwork with the lawyers now. I am even more ecstatic because Gerri-Anne has also put in an offer for a condo and that was excepted as well we we're pretty much at the same point. We're doing it together!

Birthday / Mothers Day!

Well my birthday was a bit of a bust....Again! At least I remembered it was my birthday this time,lol! On the 9th I basically spent all day researching and doing paper work as well as being at the inspection for the house on redwood! We had a barbecue on Saturday which was nice. I woke up horribly and was little miss grumpy pants all day, but near the end of the night I started to mellow out again. It was nice to have a Barbecue again and have lots of people surrounding us.

On mothers day Sanora bought me a chocolate bar....my kid knows me well!The rest of the day consisted of cleaning up for the night before. Bryan worked so Sanora and I just hung out at the park all evening! When I put Sanora to bed she said "happy mothers day mommy!", gave me big huge and passed out cold. I love my girls!

Backing out of house deal!

Well the house we picked out was beautiful and full of personality and character. Unfortunately I can best describe the house as a fancy red sports car for a family........looks nice but costs way to much and is not to practical. The first inspector that went in passed it with flying colors but the inspector for the housing company Tore it to pieces. Apparently there was major electrical and structural issues as well as when the inspector kicked the foundation it crumbled. It would have cost us 20-40 grand to bring it up to standards! So trusting the very thorough inspectors judgement we are choosing to let the shinny red convertible go to some one with a mid-life crises or more money.

Offer on house/ Bryan

Well there was this beautiful wood home that is absolutely beautiful. Cathedral ceilings, big kitchen, large yard, loft master bedroom and packed with personality. We got into a bit of a bidding war last night and we submitted our final offer and said we're not going any higher. We just went to our mid available funds so we hope it works out in our favor, we'll find out some time today. You know it's a small town when you go see the house and the wife teaches one friend at the college and the husband teaches another. We also went to go see a few other houses and the first one we go see yesterday, the woman showing it was a regular at Starbucks when he worked there,lol.

Bryan has been working really hard with different contracts. After he got the job at Terra Firma they keep sending web contracts his way. Through one busy man he's got a contract to maintain 6 websites and just building one more. There was a deadline to get the site together for a meeting at the tourism association today. Bryan nailed it and was told that he blew everyone away with the website he put together. So it would be up to him to update the sites everyday which is potentially very major for us. I am so proud of him and his hard work. He just said to me "looks like it really was a good idea to more to the Yukon eh Garnette?"

There is a little girl named Amber that lives up the street and I arranged for them to have a play date at our house today. I was a little worried about the hyperactivity between the 2 and feared that I might need a drink after,lol. Well the 2 of them where great. Sanora finally got some female interactivity, and of all things, they where outside making mud pies. I love it! After, her father Mike came with us to the park and we we're there till dinner, so it was a long day. Amber spun so much on the tire swing that she almost vomited, poor girl. It was absolutely beautiful so I was very much enjoying being outside. Sanora and I where both dragging our butts home and went down stairs and we both lied down on my bed for a bit.

First giggle

Sanora and I went for a long walk after dinner tonight. First we went to the school down the street so she can play in the playground. Every year grade 7's go out with a guide and kill a bison and the kids learn how to skin and butcher it. After the prepare the meat and have a bison feast, well tonight was the feast at the school. Sanora doesn't go to that school so I didn't feel like asking to try some, we just watched what was going on. After I went to Tara's and Sanora got to play a bit and by the time we got home it was 3 hours later.

Right after I got home Sienna got so smiley, such a beautiful smile. Sanora and I where playing with her than out popped a giggle. I love the sound of a child's laughter. Sanora has such a distinctive laughter, I hope Sienna is as bubbly. Man I love my girls!

BRYAN'S NEW JOB!!!!!

Well many good things seem to be walking through our door lately. Yesterday Bryan went for a job interview at a place called Terra Firma. This morning Bryan went down to talk to the owner again bringing his full portfolio was hired on the spot. Bryan was packing up to go to work when he got called again by the company about a web contract for him to do. As you can see I am very proud of Bryan. I'm so excited for him and what it could mean for our family. My first thought was....."Duh, of course you got the job!"

The other good news is that yesterday I called a broker yesterday that happens to be a friends dad and he approved us for a mortgage. Nothing is for sure yet but we are looking on the market with the possibilities of house ownership ahead of us.
