Boxing Day

I woke up to go to work and I phoned work to see how they where doing on the set up for work, and my boss said "not good, how soon can you get there?" uhh oh, I thought. so in my hurry I fell down the stairs, I was worried for a bit but counted every movement and had my cell phone ready to call Bryan just in case. I got there and it was already insane, I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off. It was nuts, we broke a few targets yesterday. It took so long to get through all the paperwork so I ended up doing just ove a 10 hour shift. Poor Sanora wanted nothing more but to play together, and my head just wasn't there. It was off in la la land.

SO now the next morning I am very thankful I have the day off. I am one hurtin unit, my back from the fall and the rest of my body form work. Needless to say I'm not moving very fast today. so off to catch some sales and get the kayak, yaaaa baby!

Christmas Day!

The night before when we where putting sanora to bed, we couldn't even get through the first book when she fell asleep. Bryan I woke up to Sanora screaming "you didn't read me the second story!" when I reminded her that Santa had come the night before, her tears stopped very quickly. Sanora's eye'sopened wide when she say everything under the tree. We made Bryan get up (without the pots and pans unfortunantly)and started right away on the stockings. I was a little worried about Sanora because she kept wanting to just go through all presents. We took our time and each person took a turn, it was driving Sanora nuts. Sanora was amazing though, I was so proud of her. Sanora thanked us for every gift and was very appreciative of everything that she got, I was so impressed. Sanora unwrapped most of Sienna's gifts and it was a big thing to help her sister open her gifts. she said "I can't wait for Sanora to come out and see what everyone got her!", I thought that was so cute. An other thing that Sanora said was "Daddy thank you for putting everything on my list, I got everything I wanted!" of course my chest went up even higher with pride.

Bryan and I saved our big presents to eachother till last and what a grandfinale that was. I was all cocky thinking, I know what you got me, snowshoes. The box that it was in looked like show shoe polls, so I thought I was pritty smart. Well I did get snow shoes, from Sanora, but the polls wasn't what was in the box. There was a card attatched to the present and I was looking at it, and there was a little peace that said flip. I flipped it over and i was thinking oh nice Kayak and i kept reading then I suddenly realized oh my god he got me a kayak. So not only did I get snow shoes but a Kayak as well. His card was so sweet and i was incredibly touched, I started to cry in amazment. I could see in his face what that he was excited for me to open that one and the love that was in his face when I realized what was going on, was amazing. Everything between us in the past 6 months has been worth every step that we have taken together. I am so ecstatic to try out the snow shoes, that one will come first, and today we pick up the Kayak, so I can practice in the livening room, lol.

Christmas Eve

I worked Christmas eve and it was a busy day, everyone getting there last little gifts for those they love. David and Reana where nice enough to pick me up that night. It was a good night, as usual Bryan made some really good food. Bryan slaved all day and the previous 2 days for this meal and it was worth it. I made cookies so that was my tiny contrebution. Tara and Donavan came with Tara's parents and there 2 kids, and David and Reanna wtih there 2 kids came. All in all it was a nice night, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!

Count down to christmas

Merry Christmas!!
2 More sleeps!!

Sanora's christmas speech

Well I am so impressed with Canada post. I am really happy that most got there gifts on Friday. Jan I hope you did too! My dad called to let us know and to wish us a merry christmas and it was sooooo cute. Sanora talked to him and was little miss chatter box. It's so cute to here her talk about Sienna to other people, she puffs up her chest and talks very proudly. Sanora who always goes "where's Pat?" got to talk to her for a while and Sanora was talking about the Yukon as well.

Later on in the night when we where making cookies and Bryan was getting the appitizers ready for the christmas eve party, we where talking about our mom's. Sanora looks at me in the eyes, puts her hand on my arm and says to me "Your mother is all around you, she's everywhere. When people die they become angels and they are always with you." I looked at Bryan in shock, and I started to cry. Here is this 4 year old who looked at me with such wisdom, it was crazy. We talk alot about our mothers and how they are angels, but for her to say something like that blew me away. Sanora is such a smart kid and a smart ass, lol! Bryan and I combined it's inevitable that we have a smart ass as a child. I'll never forget the time that we drove to Haines Junction when John and Barb where here, and we had luch. I kept saying to Sanora "don't eat with your mouth full!" and she kept asking John questions. Well after one question that we had answered Sanora belted out "Grandpa don't eat with your mouth full!" I couldn't stop laughing, it was soo funny. It looked like she had lined that up on purpose.

Christmas and baby

Well if feels nice to get all the presents out, I had most of them back in Augest so it's about time eh? Christmas is only 5 days away, so hard to believe. I'm looking forward to my maternity leave. This pregnancy is taking alot out of me this time, I just don't seem to have the energy. My stomache grows every day, and I'm not kidding on that either. I'm all belly to, not like with Sanora where i gained a little bit everywhere. Interesting how the pregnancies are so different. I'm so excited to see the baby's personality and see what she is like. Bryan and i have been going over what we did right and what we would change.....than he pritty much tells me to shut up and that instinct will kick in the second she is born, even more than last time. Sooooo exciting!

Christmas is coming

Well the other night Bryan and I stayed up till 3 in the morning wrapping gifts, ncluding santa gifts. Sanora is one spoiled little girl, lol. Sanora picked out Bryan's gift all by herself and she's going to wrap that herself as well. Sanora also picked out Sienna's gift (a unisex outfit, just in case) and she loved that. It's been so nice to get everything that she asked for (not exactly everything because that would be everything in every store)! She's been an amazing, Sanora is such a good kid. So far except the juggling of scedules.....it's a damb good christmas!

Christmas Party

Well thanks to our friends Tara and Donovian, Bryan and i got a night out. It was BRyan's christmas party with his work, and we had a good time. We where at the loudest table, Bryan was there so go figure. The vibe was really good and I felt really comfertable there, it helped that i had met alot of the staff. Everyone was so funny, there where many times that I was crying I was laughing so hard. Bryan looked so good, he was in a suit and tie...sooo hansom. The food was good, but I just couldn't have enough, it wouldn't fill me which was wierd, lol. There was a gift exchange, and i was number one. Number one goes first and last. As you go around you can steal other gifts or you can choise another one from the table. Then at the end number one (ME!) can switch with anyone they want and basically get the best prize. We walked away with a master craft work bench and a really nice plate set. we scored, we got 2 of the best prizes. The funniest part was the look on the guys face when I took the work bench and handed him a gift basket of candles and soap. Well these are some pictures Bryan snapped with the web cam of me after.

Camel Spiders a.k.a. Wind Scorpian

Bryan and I where looking on-line about afganistan and on the CTV's AM in Afganistan, near the bottom they talk about the natural hazards for Soldiers there. These include outdoor toliets (read up on it, it's worse than it sounds), Emerald Lake (Raw Sawage pool), Saw skale vipers, and Camel spiders. I looked up the Camel spiders and they aren't actually a spider, they will chase you at 10 miles per hour and can get up to 15 cm long. There are some creepy photo's on-line about them and a photo of there bites. I seem to be fasinated by wierd and creepy things, heh heh!

Afganistan Pictures

Gerri-anne sent me some pictures of Afganistan of the base that she is in.
