Sumo Concussion

We went to the Sun Stroke Festival to celebrate the summer solstice. It was crazy, I couldn't believe we where out at 12am and it looked like it was only 5 pm. We went early and there was tones for kids including a blow up castle, face painting and cardboard castle/fort that they let the kids go nuts with paints. They also had Sumo Wrestling and of course I couldn't resist. I challenged a friend Rowan and near the beginning I got my helmet knocked off and I did a big flying leap which was a bad idea apparently. When I landed I went off the mat and because my helmet wasn't on when I landed I smacked my head pretty good. I didn't have anything to drink but I felt like I had a flat to my self in a matter of half an hour. I was very disoriented and couldn't put a sentence together to save my life. Mind you that doesn't seem to be far off the mat on a daily basis lately, lol. I decided to go over and talk to the woman at the first aid station and she told me to go to the hospital. I was told I have a concussion and we went home for a good sleep. Everything was fine yesterday and then today out of nowhere I got the worst head ache I have ever gotten. I wanted to vomit and scoop my eyes out,so I went down stair as soon as Bryan got home. We decided it was worth it to go to the hospital again where I was told that it looked like I had both whip lash and a concussion! Not bad for sumo wrestling eh!

Mommy moment!

I had the coolest conversation last night with Sanora and it went like this....

Sanora: "Thank you so much for dinner mommy!"
Me: "You are such an amazing person Sanora."
Sanora: "I know mommy."
Me: "You do, do you?"
Sanora: "Ya, I know because you always tell me!"

It was a proud mommy moment and I just about cried when she said that, lol. It's those moments that remind you that no matter what you think they do listen to what you say good or bad, and you tell them enough and they will catch on. I know all parents get these moment from time to time, I'm just happy to share mine.

There where tones of kids for Sanora to play with. Sienna got attacked by bugs but other than that Sienna Seemed more at home in the great outdoors than at home. We camped with a really great group they where alot of fun.

drawing near

Well time is getting near and it's only 3 short weeks before we move into our own home. I haven't been on the computer as much and when I am it's usually at night. We decided to go camping this weekend especially seeing as it may be our last chance to go camping before moving. We don't even really get to unpack before we leave again, crazyness but I love it. We have colors picked out (of course that may change when we get in there) and we're so excited to paint the grandma out of the house. Gerri bought her house after us and she got into her condo a month before us, congrats again on your new condo.

My little helper

Sanora has been an amazing help. Yesterday she brought me breakfast in bed (cherios) and when we went into town she was opeing all the doors for me. What ever issues there was has been worked out. It's crazy how if you just change the way you talk to your kid makes a world of a difference. IT's usually what they get from us that drives us crazy as parents. I see it with other people that there children are just repeating what has been said to them. But Sanora helped figure out that I to am blind and need to open my eyes more often. She's not a saint and I wouldn't want her to me, it's all those intersinkrecies that make her my beautiful Sanora. Sanora has been an amazing help with everything....I just hope this keeps up.
