We had a wonderful visit as always with Bryan's dad John. John cooked a great steak dinner Friday, after John took me for lunch at a local cafe. We talked with Bryan's boss for a bit about the local kook being Tagish Elvis. Tafino I have to say is missing John very much, they where like long lost friends. On Saturday, we all went to see Sanora got to Dance class, she was so cute. She loves the class and so so excited to dance for her grandpa. After Dance class we rushed down to the Santa Parade. We got there just as it was going so I rushed Sanora out of the truck to stand on the sidewalk, and without realizing it I guess I closed the door on Grandpa...sorry again. Sanora had 2 of her class mates to share the fun with and we later went in the government building to warm up before meeting up with Bryan and John. They had bonfire pits and big blocks of snow where they would roll out maple syrup on a stick called maple toffee. Sanora got to sit on Santa's knee after with Sienna, Sanora asked for a big fluffy dog and a princess barbie. We where very impressed that Sienna didn't scream or seem to be fazed at all by the overwelming amount of people of by Santa. Sanora stayed up really late to hang out with Grandpa, and in the morning when John left Bryan Thought it would be a good idea to let her sleep. Sanora was very upset by this and out came the tears when she realized he was gone. Sanora and I just cuddled on the couch until she calmed down, it was so sweet.
Sunday we went on a mission to kill trees. We went up by our house and with the ax and saw at hand. We stopped a few places to look and for Sanora to sled down the hills a bit. Then we saw it, the sun hit the tree just the way....well ok it wasn't exactly a national lampoons moment but it kinda seemed that way for Bryan. It was quite the tree, barely made it on the truck it was so heavy. Sanora got to pick out her own tree as well and she was very happy with that. We got the tree in the house and measured it, it was well over 11 feet..ooops. So we kept cutting for one end then the next trying to make it fit. The pictures of Bryan holding the tree up was after 4 cuts of the tree, then came 2 more, lol! The trees are up and now decorated, it was soooo much fun. Our tree is not the typical looking tree, more like a man eating, caricature tree with loads of personality. I'm going to try and upload photos tomorrow.
Saterday is our house warming/Christmas party. We are sooo lucking forward to it. Bryan is making all kinds of food, and a very large batch of Sangria. There will probably be lots of pictures the week to follow.
